James Todd Heise has been a licensed practicing attorney in the state of Maryland since 1999. His law firm, Heise & Heise, LLP, has been ranked among the Three Best Rated real estate law firms in Baltimore in 2017, 2018 and 2019. Todd also owned and operated a successful title company for 10 years before merging its operations into a large multi-state title company doing business in Maryland, Virginia and the District of Columbia.

The skill sets acquired in owning and operating these two business gives him a unique perspective in evaluating a transaction, identifying problems and advising as to a best course of action to pursue. Todd will take the time to discuss your real estate goals with you, research the property identified for purchase or sale and craft a custom approach to help you reach your objectives. He is considered less of a real estate salesperson and more of real estate counselor.

Todd owns a portfolio of residential and commercial properties in Baltimore City and Baltimore County and has likely enjoyed the same joy and struggles of investment real estate as you have. Todd feels that it is important to give back to the community. He has served on the Board of Directors of the Southeast Community Development Corporation (“SECDC”) and has been President of the Highlandtown Business Association. He presently volunteers for the Design Review Committee of the Highlandtown Main Street program and recently wrapped up a stint with CASA as an advocate for foster children. When the itch to broaden his horizons strikes, Todd may take a trip around the country or abroad with his wife and children. If time does not allow for a trip, you may find Todd motoring around Baltimore City on his favorite old BMW motorcycle.

Melissa Kreit has been in the Baltimore real estate industry for 15 years and a licensed Real Estate Agent in the state of Maryland and Assistant for over 10 years.
